Host an Event
Major League Eating helps sponsors around the world to develop, run and publicize eating contests that provide dramatic audience entertainment and a powerful platform for media exposure. MLE has an unparalleled track record for generating media coverage of eating contests, and has placed sponsors in the most powerful local, national and international media outlets.
Major League Eating holds approximately 70 events annually, including the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, NY. Other MLE sponsors include DraftKings, Hostess, Heinz Ketchup, Pizza Hut, Old Navy, Bass Pro Shops, 7-Eleven, ESPN, Taco Bell, Jimmy John’s, Pepto Bismol, Wingstop, Harrah’s Entertainment, Isle of Capri Casinos, and Roy Rogers. MLE also holds events at a variety of events including the New Orleans Oyster Festival, the National Buffalo Wing Festival, Norfolk Harbor Fest, and the Wisconsin State Fair.
MLE promotions generate billions of consumer impressions annually. The Nathan’s Famous contest generated more than 300 million consumer impressions on domestic television and hundreds of million more impressions in traditional and digital media. Outlets that have covered our events in the past year include ESPN, CNN, FOX, BBC, Yahoo.com, Vice.com, Reuters, NBC News, ABC News, FOX News, CBS News, the Today Show, Good Morning America, the Tonight Show, The Late Show, the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Associated Press, Sports Illustrated, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and thousands of network television affiliates, newspapers, and radio stations nationwide.
MLE is expanding the competitive eating circuit, adding new events to the recognized series of contests running in the U.S. and overseas. When top eating champions such as Joey Chestnut, Matt Stonie. Miki Sudo, Geoffrey Esper and Eric “Badlands” Booker are in an eating contest, the audience knows they are watching a world-class event.
