The history books will note that George Chiger of Pocono Pines, PA, qualified for the 2018 Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest by winning the Norfolk, VA, qualifier of that year by eating a to-date personal best 30 HDBs in 10 minutes. He credits his rise in the sport to the guidance of fellow Pocono Piner and eating legend Larell Marie Mele. Chiger has also performed with distinction in the Strawberry Shortcake and Hostess® Donettes® disciplines. Standing a towering 6-foot-6 and weighing in at 340 lbs, Chiger is a true mountain of a man.
